I really just needed an excuse to share these photos, so here we go.
I got myself an iPhone 11 towards the end of last year (I know it’s a year late) and I cannot believe what a massive difference the camera situation is compared to what I was using before (on an iPhone 7). It’s mad how much myself and Hollie invested in cameras and whatnot over the past few years, but we truly have never spent enough time learning how to get the most out of them. It’s great to have a camera – like the one on my phone – that I can take truly amazing photos without having to change a single setting.
The best examples of the quality is right here.
I’m well aware that there are phones on the market with better cameras, but I’m very comfortable with Apple, so I’m sticking to it, and I won’t be convinced otherwise. My phone does what I need it to do.
Since I’ve got the new phone, literally all I’ve been doing is taking an excessive amount of photos of the boys doing literally everything. I’m talking about the most boring things though:
- Eating food
- Talking to one another
- Walking down the road
- Putting their shoes on
- Watching the TV
I’m sure other parents are like this, but I’m just letting you know that I’m absolutely a participant in this over-snapping behaviour too.
I just know that even in a year we won’t believe how much they’ve grown and evolved, because it happens now when we look back at where Cameo was at the age Marlo is now (especially considering there’s just 18 months between the two of them).
It’s really not going to be long before Cameo denies us the chance to take photos of him, and Marlo follows in his footsteps. That being the case, I’m not going to stop shoving a camera in their faces to capture the best of these tiny years, before all of these content capturing opportunities well and truly disappear.
As you can see here, myself and Hollie are always fully equipped when we go to the park. The all-in-one waterproofs are absolute essentials, and it’s funny seeing how many parents forget them/don’t yet have them when they take their kids out on wet days. This is a great example of a time when it would have been a true disaster if we didn’t have them, as they wouldn’t have been able to enjoy this – the muddiest puddle of all muddy puddles.
