I’m really struggling to keep on track with the boys’ favourite kids YouTube personalities. It seems to change constantly and there are so many that are so similar, making it impossible to differentiate one from the next.

One of the channels (or range of channels, should I say) that has seemed to stick with them and whose content seems to stand out a little more than the others is Spy Ninjas. It’s a group of youths – many of which have their own individual channels – who go on adventures using all kinds of gadgets and gizmos using their martial arts skills and detective knowhow to crack puzzles, outsmart enemies and all of that good stuff.

As my two have a thing for rolling about the place, playing tricks on each other and enjoying role play as an array of different characters, you already know that this kind of stuff is right up their street. They’ve been heavy into it lately – making it the perfect time to introduce them to some niceties that just arrived.

The boys have just got themselves a set of the Spy Ninjas collectible figures (including Chad Wild Clay, Regina Ginera, PZ Squire and PZ2) as well as the Project Zorgo Voice Morpher.

If there’s one thing that solidifies what characters the kids are down with, versus the ones that they just put up with because it’s there is whether or not they want the figures. When I showed Marlo that we’ve got Chad Wild Clay and the gang, he immediately claimed them as his own before Cameo even got a look in.

It has been ages since the boys have had a voice recorder toy of any kind to play with. This Project Zorgo one gives the kids the chance to disguise their voices and use its in-built sound effects and come up with all cunning plans to play on each other (but usually me). This one comes with a set of two pencils and an official name badge that – as you can imagine – Marlo was quick to assign to himself at the first opportunity he got.
