I know I don’t mention much of the things I work on, but I have to talk about this one because so many people that follow me on Instagram have physically seen me performing my role for this one. It’s Curve.
So it just came around again; The Curve Fashion Festival returned for the fifth time (my third) and, as I type this, my feet still don’t work the same. Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre is massive and I must have lapped the place about 40 times by the time the day was done. My role in the thing is ambiguous, but there is no way you missed me if you were there on the day.
You could have caught me:
- Playing security guard for Hayley Hasselfhoff
- Adjusting the set on the main stage
- On goody bag distribution duty
- Lapping the place hunting for missing influencers
- Chillin’ out with the cool kids at the Matalan stand
I finally got to meet a load of amazing people, including a fair few I should have met time ago:
- Kelvin Davis
- Olivia Campbell
- Lucy Vixen
- Sandra Marvin
Let me just go through a few highlights:
- Lucie Clifford’s main stage talk
- Eddie Hall hit the catwalk in a dress (and I have video evidence)
I cannot stress how important an event of this kind is. I may be biased but there is nothing like this anywhere in the UK, and it continues to get bigger and better. Calling all plus size, fashion-conscious people across the land, I promise that a day at The Curve Fashion Festival will make you feel warm inside. I guarantee it.
The list of things to sort out for 2020 is massive. I’m writing this fresh after writing a debrief document to make sure it is, because I’m going to be more involved than ever. I might even tell you about it.
